Carillon
A carillon is a musical instrument consisting of tuned bells installed in bell towers. The bells are played either manually using a keyboard or by means of an automatic mechanism. Carillons can be found in church towers, town halls, and other public buildings.
When copyright-protected music sounds from a bell tower and is audible in a publicly accessible space, this constitutes public performance of works within the meaning of copyright law. This means that the administrator of the bell tower must enter into a music performance agreement with EAÜ.

NB! The licence fee rates stated herein do not include the VAT amount added by EAÜ in accordance with the Value Added Tax Act, which is calculated on EAÜ’s commission and shown as a separate line on the invoice issued by EAÜ.
