Joining the EAÜ for music publishers

A publisher can become a member of the EAÜ under the following conditions:

• music publishing is their principle field of activity;
• the rights and obligations between the author and the publisher, as set out in the publishing agreement, are balanced, and the distribution of royalties collected by collective representation societies between the publisher and the author respects the rules of CISAC (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers).

The decision to accept a publisher as a member is made by the Board of Directors of the EAÜ and the agreement is forwarded to the publisher after a favourable decision has been made.

We expect our members who are publishers to send us copies of their publishing agreements in a timely manner, as this will ensure that works are registered promptly.
