Joining for audiovisual authors

The members of the Estonian Association of Audiovisual Authors (EAAL), an organisation that collectively represents audiovisual authors, are natural persons who have been admitted to the association by a decision of the board. Authors of audiovisual works and their successors (heirs) may also exercise their rights under a customer agreement with the association without being members of the association.

The EAAL has cooperation agreements with almost 30 foreign associations representing audiovisual authors. As a result, the EAAL can represent foreign authors in Estonia, and foreign associations can represent Estonian authors abroad.

The EAAL also participates in the drafting of sectoral rules and other legislation and, where possible, provides advice on copyright to its members and customers.
