Fairs

This type of agreement is entered into for the use of music at fairs and similar events where the main purpose is to promote and sell goods and services.

The rates of the licence fee depend on whether the event is paid (the amount of the licence fee depends on the income from the sale of tickets) or free of charge (the amount of the fee depends on the income from the rental of the space, a fixed rate may also apply).

For paid entrance:
The license fee for the public performance of musical works is 2% of the event’s entry fee (excluding VAT), but not less than €18 per event day.

For free entrance fairs where sell points are rented out:
The license fee for the public performance of musical works is 1% of the event’s rental income (excluding VAT), but not less than €18 per event day.

For free entrance where no sell points are rented out, the license fee depends on the number of attendees:

1–100 attendees: €18 per event day
101–300 attendees: €25 per event day
301–600 attendees: €30 per event day
601–1000 attendees: €45 per event day
For every additional 1000 attendees: an additional €40 per event day

Note: The license fee rates stated here do not include the VAT amount added by EAÜ according to the VAT Act. This VAT is calculated on EAÜ’s service fee and is shown as a separate line on the invoice issued by EAÜ.

The license fee rates are valid from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2025.

No later than 14 days after the event, a financial report must be submitted, and in the case of a live performance (a band or artist performs), a repertoire report as well. Based on the received reports, a license fee invoice will be issued.
